Euphoric Metz

The French club Metz has lived euphoric days after reaching the qualification for the Champions League.

Thierry Weizman, Metz president, was one of the happiest after the Qualification Tournament won in Trondheim. The final victory of Volgograd against Byasen meant the qualification for Metz after lots of excitement.

“It is a fantastic feeling and an exceptional success. This is the end of a long of road with many years of work. It is like sunshine after rain. I’m really, really happy the club and for all the people who believed in us and helped us. I lived a fantastic day in Trondheim.

"I have full confidence in our coach, Sandor Rac. I have no doubts in his knowledge. It was very difficult indeed, but we captured our chance.

“It is the first step of a new adventure for us. We must share our attention and energy between the French championship and the Champions League. In addition, we must analyse the financial aspects too. We must be realistic now,” Weizman said after the success.
