The Copenhagen coach is more satisfied than his Serbian colleague.

Satisfied Magnus Anderson

The coaches of Crvena Zvezda and FC Kopenhagen talked to the press after the CL opener in Belgrade. Magnus Andersen and Igor Butulija had different emotions about the game.

Igor Butulija had a difficult gameAnderson was satisfied with his team’s performance, especially as the Danish team knew little about Crvena Zvezda before the game:

“We won by nine goals. We started well, especially in defence that gave us a chance to lead counterattacks and quick attacks. After the break we controlled the game without any problem.”

“FCK much better”

On the other side, Igor Butulija was realistic and congratulated FCK:

“Unfortunately, everything was over after only 10 minutes. My players have to understand that a handball match lasts 60 minutes.

“The good thing is that we played another strong match, which is an important experience.

“We started the match as if we were in cramps, but the main problem was in our heads. At the end we have to be realistic and admit that the Danish team are much better. We have to thank our fans for their great support.”

The Serbian champions will have a new chance soon. Crvena Zvezda will travel to Slovakia to play against Tatran on Saturday.
