Boldsen, Hansen and Jernemyr join FCB and prepare for the upcoming Spanish Super Cup.
Barcelona: small changes, great plans
Great clubs such as Barcelona cannot stay long without winning titles. The fans expect good results and victories, especially after last season that brought mixed emotions.
Ciudad Real was dominant in the Spanish and also in the European handball, so Manuel Cadenas has to lead the Catalonian club to victories again. It will be the second year of the Spanish coach in Barcelona and he must also feel the pressure coming from the great club.
The preparation time for the new season was short. Barcelona has loaned 13 players for the various national teams playing in Beijing. Cadenas has only two weeks now to prepare until the beginning of the season. The first test will be a fight for the first title: the Spanish Super Cup. The opponent, of course, will be Ciudad Real.
Barcelona have reinforced their roaster with three new players from Nordic countries: Boldsen, Hansen and Jernemyr. The first two Danish and the Swedish players will form a team with Rocas, Juanin, Barrufet, Lozano, Kasper, Losert or Nagy. The objective will be to improve the results of the last season in Spain and in the Champions League as well.
Fernandez on top
It’s been a busy summer for Jerome Fernandez. The French international won the Olympic Games in Beijing and there has been other news about him. Though he has a valid contract with Barcelona for another year, Ciudad Real and other teams showed interest in signing him. At the end it turned out that Fernandez will play for Barcelona and Cadenas can count on him.
