Comments: Men's Cup Winners' Cup
Schaffhausen coach Perkovac and Löwen's Austrian player, David Szlezak, tell Eurohandball.com about the chances in the CWC.
Kadetten Schaffhausen GCZ
Goran Perkovac (coach):
"The team and the officials of Kadetten SH GCZ are first of all happy to have reached the semi-finals of the EHF Cup Winner's Cup for the first time. We are proud to be able to compete with MKB Veszprém KC, one of the leading teams of Europe. It's more than just a challenge. There will surely be two high level games. Our team are going to fight for a positive result and we are never going to give up. We are the underdogs, so we have the opportunity to show our best handball."
Rhein-Neckar Löwen
David Szlezak (player):
“The draw could not have been easy for any team as there were three good teams waiting for everyone. We will play against Valladolid, which is a great team, but our objective is to win the cup. We declared this already at the beginning of the season.
“Our opponents have more international experience as a team. Last year they reached the semi-finals of the Champions League, but Löwen also have many experienced players. We are playing in an improving form in the German league, so we will be facing the semi-finals with self-confidence.”
