Buducnost prepare against FTC
Buducnost T-Mobile are in the finish of the preparations as the EHF Champions League will resume after a month and a half of break. After four rounds, the Montenegrin champions are third in Group D with three points and a very good chance to finish behind Olchim and Viborg and continue playing in Europe in the Cup Winners’ Cup.
In the interval of the CL, the players of Buducnost played a great number of matches, especially with the national team of Montenegro that played against Hungary and took part at the Euro qualification tournament in Slovakia.
So the team of Tone Tiselj had a chance to keep the form on the right level, although only the next matches of the CL will tell if that was the case. First of all, the Sunday’s game in Hungary against FTC Budapest will be an important one. Buducnost won the first game in Podgorica by 22:19.
“We have a very nice working atmosphere before the game against FTC Budapest, and we really concentrate on that match. We only had one day off during the holidays, we are training very well and we are trying not to think too much about the next opponent. We are working to improve our game and watching the tapes from our first game against FTC. We can see what were the good and the bad things.
“We played a great defence that time, probably the best in this years’ Champions League and it would be a great thing to repeat such a game in Budapest.
“If we can do it, we will have a good chance to reach a good result,” said the line player of Buducnost T-Mobile, Dragica Orlandic.
Buducnost have a big advantage over FTC Budapest, still without points.
“That’s why FTC will have a difficult job. Since the beginning of the competition, we are playing without any pressure, but not without fighting spirit. We will play the same type of game in Budapest, where we will be under big pressure. We’re going to play in a faster rhythm and try to get a good result. The Hungarians are very dangerous opponents at home. They have a big support from the crowd, but if we play concentrated, it is not impossible to avoid a defeat,” added Dragica Orlandic, who is back after an injury on her right hand.
