The left winger of the Champions League winners, Dominik Klein, will stay two more years in the club. His current contract is valid until 2009, but the player agreed to sign another deal until 2011.

Klein will be running on the Kiel left wing until 2011“I like playing for Kiel very much,” Klein says. “This extension is a brilliant ending of an outstanding year. Kiel is my family and I hope all speculations about my future will end now. My heart is beating for THW.”

Manager Uwe Schwenker also praised the German international:

“He is on the best way to achieve everything he can. He is a favourite player of the fans as they seem to strongly identify with him. Dominik can become a world class left winger, but he has to work hard. I’m glad that he will work hard in our club in the next years.”

Klein arrived in Kiel at the start of last season. Before that he played in Großwallstadt. He scored 305 goals in 307 matches for THW. He won German championship, Champions League and national cup already. He was also member of the German world champion team.

Earlier there were rumours that Klein would move to TBV Lemgo. At the moment only two players have to decide in Kiel: Vid Kavticnik and Viktor Szilágyi.

Szilágyi (at the moment injured with a broken nose) wants to make a decision this week, and Schwenker will also talk to Kavticnik.
