Jordi Ribera, coach of Ademar Leon, is aware of the strength of their group, but he still believes in reaching the semi-finals.
Jordi Ribera dreams about semi-finals
Ademar Leon are not happy with the Main Round draw. All the clubs wanted to avoid Kiel, but Ademar were not so lucky. Kiel, Medvedi and Ivry will be the rivals in the next round, going for the semi-finals. It will be difficult to reach this objective, but Ademar are known as “fighters”.
Jordi Ribera, Ademar’s coach, told the Spanish press. “We can dream. We will meet with the team that nobody wanted, Kiel. The other two clubs are strong as well. We are in the Last 16, so it is normal that all the teams will be difficult. I only hope that the injuries will not decide our fate. We can dream, but we need to avoid more injuries”.
The Spanish coach knows about the strength of Kiel, but Ribera is hopeful:
“We know they are tough rivals. However, we won against Ciudad Real this season already and we made a draw with Barcelona and Portland. We made good results against the biggest clubs. In addition, we also won twice against Zagreb, which was the strongest team in our group.
“Medvedi will be hard opponents because they are very strong. In addition, we must take a long journey to Russia. Ivry have some very high quality players and they had a very good season in the French League last year,” Ribera said.
