Albert Rocas: “Not to qualify would be a failure”

The draw seems to be favourable for Spanish top team, FC Barcelona. At least, Albert Rocas is really happy about it. The wing player tells Eurohandball.com that Barcelona must reach the semi-finals. Other than that would be a failure…

Eurohandball.com: What do you think about the result of the draw?

Rocas scored 22 in the Group MatchesAlbert Rocas: I think that is not an easy group, but it could be worse. There are not easy teams at this stage of the CL. However, all the Spanish teams wanted to avoid the German clubs and we did.

Eurohandball.com: Is Barcelona the favourite in your group?

Albert Rocas: I think that Barcelona has a strong team and we must think about winning every match. Barcelona are able to get to the semi-finals and not to qualify would be a failure. We must concentrate every game and we must be very careful at the away matches. It is very difficult to win an away match in the CL.

Eurohandball.com: What do you think about your rivals?

Albert Rocas: Everybody knows Celje. They are a great club. They will be very dangerous at home and the visit to Slovenia will be tough. Pick are perhaps not on the same level as the others, but they are a strong team. GOG Gudme played against Portland and showed that they are a good team with good players.

Eurohandball.com: You played in Portland and your former mates can tell you something about GOG…

Albert Rocas: One might think that we must win these games easily. However, the matches between Portland and Gudme showed us that we must be in top form for the games against them.
