JOVANKA RADICEVIC: HERO of Buducnost

Jovanka Radicevic, right wing of Buducnost T-Mobile, was the hero of the draw with Viborg NK. Radicevic was not only the top scorer of the match with 12 goals, but she was the one to take the decisive 7-m shot in the last seconds of the game and Radicevic scored the equaliser to make it 31:31

This result will probably be enough for Buducnost T-Mobile to finish third in the Group D and continue in the Cup Winners’ Cup.

“The game was very difficult for me and for my mates. Anyway, the match against Viborg was a great experience for us because we played against one of the best European teams. In the most important moments and in the last minutes of the game we proved that we are a real team and we believe in each other. This is great.

“We carried out the tasks that the coach gave us and I must thank our great fans for the great support during the whole game. The draw against Viborg has the same value as a victory,” said Jovanka Radicevic.

With her 12 goals, Radicevic is the top scorer of the season in Buducnost T-Mobile with 25 goals. However, the goal scored from the last 7-meter shot will remain a special memory as she was very calm and concentrated to score the decisive goal.

“I believed in myself in that moment. I’m glad that coach Tone Tiselj trusted me too. He told me ‘You can do it, you will score.’ All my team mates were with me, I didn’t think about the importance of that situation and I scored the goal. I’m very happy, not only for me and the team, but also for our fans,” Radicevic added.
