The EHF Decision of the Body of 1st Instance has announced the suspension of Michal Stankiewicz (Zaglebie Lubin) and Olav Hovind (Drammen HK) for one match.

Suspension of Michal Stankiewicz (Zaglebie Lubin) and of Olav Hovind (Drammen HK) for one EHF match.

Vienna, 19 November 2007 - The EHF Body of 1st Instance has dealt with the cases of Michal Stankiewicz (Zaglebie Lubin/POL) and of Olav Hovind (Drammen HK/NOR).

The body was called together following the direct disqualification of Michal Stankiewicz in the last minute of the EHF Champions League Group match between Drammen HK/NOR and Zaglebie Lubin/POL, which was awarded for an action of unsportsmannlike conduct.

As a result, Stankiewicz has been suspended for one match of an EHF club competition, which means that he will not be eligible to play in the next Men's Champions League Group Match (Zaglebie Lubin/POL vs SG Flensburg-Handewitt/GER on 22nd November 2007 in Lubin).


Olav Hovind

Olav Hovind was punished with an exclusion in the last minute of the EHF Champions League Group match between Drammen HK/NOR and Zaglebie Lubin/POL, for an action of assault.

As a result, Hovind has been suspended for one match of an EHF club competition, which means that he will not be eligible to play in the next Men's Champions League Group Match (Ciudad Real/ESP vs Drammen HK/NOR on 21st November 2007 in Ciudad Real).
