Tiselj: "Federer can also lose"
Why not? At least Buducnost T-Mobile have the right to believe in a miracle – to beat Viborg, one of the biggest favourites to win the CL, on Friday evening.
It was already announced that the Montenegrin champions will have a big support from the home crowd and the team of coach Tone Tiselj wants to give their best in the game. This is the only chance for the Montenegrins to reach a positive result. A draw would already count as a very good result for the hosts.
“Viborg are probably the best team of Europe. To avoid a defeat would be a big result for us. Viborg are the favourites, but there are always surprises in sports. We must do our best and hope for a bad day of the Danish team. Viborg also had bad days before. If Roger Federer can lose, why should Viborg be an exception,” said Tone Tiselj.
For this game Tone Tiseljcan count on Sanja Jovovic again after she missed the last two matches with knee problems.
“I expect her to do her best,” Tiselj added.
Buducnost lost the game in Denmark by 36:29 after a very good first half (Viborg were leading only 20:19). The first 30 minutes in that game are the right formula to keep pressure on the Danish team.
“Viborg are favourites of the match, one of the favourites of the CL, but that doesn’t mean that they should hope for an easy victory. We’re going to fight for 60 minutes for a good result for us. To achieve that we must be strong and aggressive in defence and be patient and control the play in attack,” said right wing, Snezana Damjanac. In fact, Damjanac plays on left side this season because of the injury of Vinka Vlahovic.
Marija Jovanovic, so far the best scorer of Buducnost T-Mobile,said that her team will not raise a white flag:
“I believe in my team and if we play an aggressive defence and a disciplined attack, we can reach a good result. Why not even beat Viborg?” said Marija Jovanovic.
The match on Friday evening will be the return of Bojana Popovic to Podgorica after five years. The world class left back played in Buducnost for four years and Buducnost always reached the semi-finals of the Champions League that period.
