After three defeats in the CL, Kometal Skopje sack Dragan Nisevic. Ljubomir Savevski has been appointed new coach.
Ljubomir Savevski: new coach of Kometal GP
After three defeats in the Champion League, Kometal sack Serbian coach, Dragan Nisevic. The coaching staff will be taken over by Ljubomir Savevski – according to the announcement made by the club.
Former head coach of the FYR Macedonian Men’s national team, Savevski, will stay in Kometal until the end of the season. His main target will be to recreate the "good atmosphere" in the club and prepare the team for the last two games of the CL, which will be crucial. Kometal GP still hope to ensure a place in the CWC.
Savevski will sit on the bench on Saturday against Lada Togliatti in Russia. He was coach of several men's clubs in FYR Macedonia, such as Metalurg, Mladost. He was also head coach of the junior team.
"As a sportsman I'm always optimistic. It will be very hard, but we will try to do our best,” said Savevski.
