Catching the last train

The two times European Champions are in a difficult situation. Krim Mercator have to win in Germany on Sunday in Round 4 of the Champions League, otherwise they may say goodbye to the competition.

Krim have to win in Nürnberg to avoid an early exitAfter a terrible performance in Russia there were even doubts about the future of coach Bojan Cotar.

"There is no uncertainty about Cotar. He has the full support of the management," said director Jernej Virant.

Everyone was disappointed after the match against Zvezda, but they are focus on the most important game now: "A key match is waiting for us in Nürnberg. It can open or close the doors in front of us," added Virant.

Coach Bojan Cotar analysed the match and knows what his players did wrong.

"We know everything but we cannot find an explanation for what’s happened. I can tell the players what to do better, but I cannot go 'into their minds'. They will have to think about it on their own."

It is obvious that Krim have to catch the last train. If they lose in Germany, they have no more chance to continue in the second phase. Nürnberg won in Ljubljana, but lost in Sweden. It means that Krim still have their chance in their own hands.

There will be some 120 Krim supporters in Germany who will try to help the best Slovenian team to victory.
