Barcelona: first defeat

Ciudad Real are alone on the top of the Spanish League after Barcelona lost their game in Zaragoza against CAI.

CAI won a very valuable game against a good BarcelonaIt is not the first unexpected result in the league as Portland and Ademar have already lost some points this season at matches that were easy victories in the past years. Asobal League is becoming more equal this season and the new champion will probably also lose more points than anytime before.

The second half of this match was really tough for Barcelona as the Catalonians could not keep control on the game. Only Iker Romero performed well with nine goals, but his mates did not help him much and the game ended 37-33. Serbian Krivokapic scored ten goals for CAI, he was the most important player for this victory.

Ciudad Real, at the same time, passed a difficult test. Valladolid were not able to repeat the victory against Portland. Ciudad Real won 27-29 away. This good result gave Djushebaev’s team a top position in the Asobal League with two points in front of Barcelona, Portland and CAI.
