Celje Pivovarna Lasko start trainings with five new players who arrive to replace some of the leaving stars.
Five Newcomers in Celje
Slovenian champions, Celje Pivovarna Lasko, started preparations for the new season. Coach Kasim Kamenica met his team and new players in Zlatorog.
"It seems that almost everyone came to first training well prepared, no one put on too much weight," said coach Kamenica after the first days of preparations when five newcomers started to work in Celje. Alem Toskic, Mirsad Terzic, Igor Kos, Srdjan Trivundza and Vasja Furlan will be new aces in the 2004 CL winner.
Kamenica knows the key to success
Hard work is in front of the best Slovenian club for sure as Sergej Harbok, Matjaz Brumen, Jure Nate and Denis Splojaric left the team.
"This was club policy. As many contracts expired we had to buy new ones. But now, I’m happy that all new contracts are signed for four years," says Kamenica. He adds: "We could make improvements this year, but now have to start from scratch. Looking at the physical abilities of players and the position of new players in previous clubs, we will be stronger in defence. And this is the key to success..."
Celje PL will play the first test match after two weeks of preparations.
