Ciudad Real Happy with Flensburg

Ciudad Real and Flensburg will play two high quality matches in Group G. Polish Interferie Zaglebie and the winner of Strovolos vs Drammen match will also be in the group. Nobody complains about the draw in Ciudad Real. In fact, coach Talant Dujshebaev is happy with the outcome.

Flensburg: really strong opponent

Dujshebaev knows that Flensburg will be the greatest opponent in the group. “I always said that it is advantageous to face a good team in the first round. Now, we know that we will avoid Flensburg in the next phase. You can have an easier task later.”

Dujshebaev believes that German and Spanish teams are the favourites: “If everything goes normally, Flensburg and we must go to the next round.”

Difficult to win the CL

Ciudad Real coach has good opinion about the rest of the group as well: “Polish handball has been improving in the last years. I think Drammen will qualify for the group and I’m sure that they will be very difficult to beat in Norway.”

The changes in the CL improve the quality of the competition, according to the coach. “This season will be very difficult to win the CL. It will be more complicated than in the previous years.”

The strong Group F with Celje, Veszprém and Gummersbach is an advantage for the other top teams. “I’m sure that they are really worried. A great team, a favourite for the title, will be out.”
