A photo exhibition celebrates the victory of THW in Kiel, while the players meet the fans.
Exhibition on THW Kiel
The Champions League winning players of THW Kiel have some time for a rest at the end of a long and tiring season. The most fortunate players are on holiday, while others – such as Swedish Kim Andersson and Per Linders – go to their national team to play for euro2008.
Those who stayed a bit longer in the city of Kiel – Klein, Kavticnik, Linders and Szilágyi amongst others – took time to visit the exhibition dedicated to THW Kiel. The photos are on display in a huge shopping centre of Kiel where thousands of local handball fans come every day and take a look at the pictures once again.
Once the players are there, they take the opportunity to give photos and signatures to the fans, mainly to the youngest ones. With this gesture, the players have a chance to thank the support, while Linders can also say goodbye to his old fans before returning to Denmark to play for FC København Håndbold.
As THW have won everything that was possible this year (German Cup, Bundesliga and Champions League), the players could hardly be more popular in Kiel these days. After the short summer break, they will have to work a lot if they wish to repeat these results.
