The Slovenian club was eliminated from the Champions League in the quarterfinals and it was less than they were hoping for. Accordingly, they decided to fire Begus and name a new coach. Begus will stay with the team until the end of the season. Cotar will take over on 1 August.

Bojan Cotar will coach Krim for two seasons. He is a well known former handball player and coach in Slovenia. This will be his first time to work in women handball. “It was an honour for me that Krim offered a chance. This is a great challenge,” said the 46-year old Cotar.

He promises that the work will be just the same that he knows from men’s handball. “Hard work is waiting for us. I would not like to offend players but they have to accept critical remarks,” Cotar added.

He signed a two-year contract that can be terminated after a year.
