Portland and Ciudad Real won in Asobal League

Liga Asobal did not stop because of the Portland-Ciudad Real CL quarterfinal. Both Spanish teams resolved their matches without problems and they are ready to prepare for the appointment on Sunday.

On Tuesday, Ciudad Real won against Valladolid in a difficult match in the Quijote Arena by 31-27, gaining a very important victory. The best news for Raul González, Ciudad Real coach, was the comeback of Slovenian international playmaker, Uros Zorman.

Zorman suffered a knee injury five months ago and his recovery was very important for the team after the banning of Djushebaev for the Sunday game.

The Slovenian player is ready to play, but still needs time to be 100%. However, his presence will be useful in the Ciudad Real offence.

Portland won against BM. Torrevieja on Wednesday by 33-22 and remain on top of Asobal League.

It was an easy game for Javier Equisoain’s team. The first half was equal, but Portland’s defence worked better after halftime and they could even give a rest to most important players. Portland keeps one point advantage difference from Ciudad Real in the great Championship battle.

The Spanish international winger, Albert Rocas, was still not on court. He is trying to recover from his shoulder injury and to get fit for the game against Ciudad Real. The Catalonian player must wait until Saturday to know if can help his team against Ciudad Real.
